Perth Day Two

Here I am day two at Perth, took a short walk to the park at morning to burn calories and get some fresh air, then me and my family took off to the Zoo!! Woohoo!!! Am really excited, 'cause I was hoping to get some cool animal pictures plus seeing some of my favorite animals, the big-fat-lazy Aussie Croc and Wombat.

And.....there's the big croc. I was really expecting to see a giant floating lazy crocodile, but instead I got this croc's butt only. The croc was giving the audience its butt!! Meh. Pretty disappointed, but, well, at least I got to see how big it is, and the fact that it's still lazy.

This is some bird, forgot the species name. It got a standard-bored face, so I photographed it, lol.
The Tasmanian Devil!!! and no it's not spinning!!haha.Umm...pardon my bad joke.

When I got to the koalas section, the koalas were sleeping, just like most of the animals there. Looks like the winter weather made 'em sleepy. By the way, the koalas are freakin' adorable!!!! They rolled themselves like a ball. A really furry ball. Pengen bejek2 rasanya..lol

No, those aren't towers for the zoo keepers to watch the a
nimals. Those are orangutan tower-houses. Pretty cool knowing that even the zoo concerns the animal shelter's design. Even I want to have that kind of tower as a playhouse, haha. By the way, check that orangutan out!! Poninya itu loh. The hair, Bieber style. Never thought the zoo keepers are so diligent, grooming the hair like that, 'cause even in Indonesia, where orangutans came from, they don't groom 'em like they do here. The orangutans here are cleaner than those in Taman Safari.

Here's a Galapagos Giant Turtle. Turns out there are still a lot of these creatures, thought George is last one alive #randomthought

And in the end of the zoo trip, here's Miguel, my younger bro and his beloved platypus. He was disappointed 'cause it turned out the zoo doesn't have any platypus, so, to cheer him up, my mom bought a platypus doll for him. He named the doll Perry.
After the zoo, we had lunch at a Japanese resto in the city. I ate the chasyu men there, but I must say, Ramen Sanpachi's Chasyu Men definitely tastes better. Babinya....lebih berasa (y)
These boys are just noisy, haha. The boy with the black hoodie is Rafael, my cousin, he's younger than my bros. The boy on the right is Reggie, my youngest bro. Amongst the three, Rafael is the most energetic one. So energetic that when we all are already tired, he's still so jumpy and very very VERY talkative, lol.

Here are they once again. Rafael really likes my bros by the way, they're like these three piglets running around, talking, joking and laughing. Sure they sometimes fight, but, well, they're kids, so it's normal. Don't ask me why my bros are closing in like that, probably they just like to gossip while being......close to each other(?)hahaha. Kinda creepy.

Perth Day One

Guess what time I got up? 3.50 AM. Pretty Uh-mazing for my record, haha. The flight is at 6.40AM and the airport is kinda far away from my house, so I have to get going pretty early. Muka masih beler, otak berasa kosong dan badan brasa zombie, that's my state of being at that point.

My flight is GA 724, Garuda Airlines, with transit on Bali. That picture is a neighbor plane by the way, captured while I'm already on board. Too bad I can only capture the plane butts, lol.

Then there are my breakfasts. Breakfast on plane. Starbucks' Ugly Chicken Puff and the Airline Catering food. Not so bad, the eggs were nice (y)

From the colors of the ground faraway below, this plane is already reaching Aussie region. Hallelujah. That's what in my mind at that time. Those clouds are somewhat funky aren't they? I just love photographing clouds from the airplane. It's another way of entertainment other than watching movies or listening to the music.
At last at around 1pm Aussie time zone, I arrived at Perth. Here I stayed at my uncle's house, the neighborhood is really nice (25 Glentrool Gardens, Canning Vale, in case any of you readers wanna pay a visit, send some froot loops or doritos chips, lol). This picture is taken at a mini-park across my uncle's house. Perth is on winter these days, no snow, but lots of winds. The cool thing is, the air might be cold but the sun stays shining bright. Lovin' it

Here is my aunt's cat, name's Mistletoe. Dunno whether it's a he or a she. Seems like it's hard to tell it's gender because of the very thick layers of fur it has. Mistletoe is a really friendly cat, it purrs a lot and follows around anyone who seems to like him/her. I have this cat allergy but still play with him/her anyway, while sneezing and wiping my nose with tissues constantly, lol. I'm an animal lover, I can't help it.

At night my uncle took me and my fam to see the city lights from Kings Park. The park is located on a hill and it's perfect to enjoy Perth's city lights. Again, too bad I didn't take my tripod with me. The winds up there were kinda hard and it gets cooler as the night grows. After Kings Park, my uncle took us to a lake where I took the city lights picture I posted earlier, and just like Kings Park, it's friggin' cold there.

Post-Perth Greetings

Ahoy mate! Just got back from Perth yesterday.haha.. Got tons of photographs from these past 5 days. I'll post 'em chronologically after a few editing process. Anw, I just pretty much finished some of my uni assignments too just now, power points and stuffs, so I'm kinda jammed. Will be resting for a while before continuing the photo editing fiesta. Here's one of the photos I just edited,

That's Perth's city lights diorama which I capture from the side of a lake using wide lens.
Too bad I didn't bring my tripod, could've been a better shot. The reflections are pretty cool aren't they? :)

Four hours at Spinelli

Hello blog! Today is the first day of the third semester enrollment day! Yay! And......that's what I thought earlier before actually seeing the scheduleoptions. Thought this would be easy, turns out it was not that easy. Well, I planned to enroll together with Bikki and we planned to do it somewhere at Grand Indonesia mall (it's kinda becoming me and my friends' favorite destination). We met up at 12am and looked for somewhere comfortable with WI-FI signals (oh yes, it's crucial since the enrollment is online). Then since Starbucks is pretty much a "common" coffee place, we decided to try out a new cafe, and our choice landed on Spinelli! We chose a rather "secluded" corner with comfy sofas and a somewhat medium table, ready for some "mager" time, it's Couch-Potato-ing in English I guess, haha.

There's our table, pretty full of stuffs. The choco-colored drink is my order, Banana Spin. Espresso with bananas blended together with ice. How does it taste? Super. Feels fun and it gave me a child-like feel. Bikki likes it too. That drink is not as weird as it sounds.

Yes, choosing the right schedule is not so easy. Made us "galau", haha. The thing is, some of our friends, like Karen (my hello-kitty-like friend, lol) is late on paying some fees, that made her unable to enroll today, she should wait for a couple of days to be able to enroll, which means she'll probably get the "less-comfortable" class schedule. Hope she gets to join us *crossing fingers*

Here's Bikki! hahaha..now you can see a glimpse of what she looks like, I'll post her full-face later.lol. Her real full name is Carissa Vicky by the way.

And then there's me. Bruno Mars themed outfit, haha. As you can see, we had some fun photographing through out these four hours. Chatting, photographing, skype-ing with our friends, getting confused with the schedules and everything. Time really flies I guess. The good thing is, we get to hang around at Spinelli for hours at a price of 30 thousand-ish drink for each of us, plus internet! I think we'll be coming back there again some time :)

Darren Criss

Okay, so, here's my newest celebrity crush. He sings, plays music, writes songs, and acts. He's Darren Criss! He is a cheerful fun dude with a Mix-Filipino blood. Darren is a newcomer who plays Blaine Anderson in the hit tv series, Glee. Besides Glee, he also started a production house named Starkid Productions with a partner. His Harry Potter musical parody (A Very Potter Musical) got so popular online that he made a sequel to it, titled "A Very Potter Sequel". He wrote songs and lyrics for that play. What I love most about him?Well, his personality I guess, and his moves. Dang he got swag! A charming dude with lots of talents and the ability to bring fun in the house is always interesting, right? ;)

Horror Movie Watching Tips (for those scaredy cats)

Yes, as the title says, here are some tips for you who are not really brave enough to watch horror movies but happens to be stuck watching one, or just plainly testing your courage at the moment (which usually ends up regretting it).
1. Bawalah teman
Some real friends, not those who will try to scare you to death in the middle of the movie.

2.Train your feeling
Perasaan apa? Perasaan tentang adegan selanjutnya, bakal serem atau normal. You can tell from the music, apakah mulai pelan, menegangkan, atau sunyi senyap?

Kalo bosen, bisa berganti aktivitas jadi people watching. Yap, menonton penonton.

Ladda land

Hari Minggu kemaren, I went out with my dad for some dinner + movie dlm rangka traktiran ulang taun doi. My dad ajakin nyoba Blitz Velvet Class, yang nontonnya agak tiduran. So, my dad asked about Satin class instead, which is one level below velvet class, and is located on Grand Indonesia Mall. Ternyata film di Satin class lebih........interesting yet scary, the Thai horror movie, Ladda land, and it starts at 9.40pm. "Okay, this is partly suicidal" I said to myself. Tapi, well, I don't mind being a daredevil once in a while. Padahal sebenernya gw agak anti nonton horor, apalagi Thai horror.

After deciding on the movie, we decided to fill our stomach with pork and ramen. We had dinner on this great ramen place called Ramen 38 (Sanpachi), still in Pacific Place. The specialty of this resto is the Jigoku ramen and the Chasyu ramen, but I prefer the Chasyu one. It tastes....heavenly. Oh yeah, and if you dislike pork, they have the chicken version too, but I bet pork still tastes better LOL =P
Dan lalu dimulailah petualangan horor gw. Sesampainya di Blitz GI, Satin Class ternyata letaknya 2 lantai diatas Blitz reguler. Sewaktu pesen tiket, ternyata penontonnya cuma kita berdua. Gw nonton dgn penuh kewaspadaan, klo mulai mencekam, siap-siap gelisah nengok kesana kemari, dan taktik favorit gw, seeing through the water bottle (y) masih keliatan tapi distorted ama tekstur itu botol aqua, alhasil muka si mbak hantu jadi burem. In the end, it's a really good horror movie for you if you happen to be a horror freak. It has an interesting story line and great shocking moments. It's a recommended horror movie for me (y)
